"Interview of a champion"
My name is Antonio. I'm a sophomore in
High school. I guess I'm going to tell you guys
a little about me. I wrestle and play football for
Ponca City. Coming to Ponca City has helped me
get on track to accomplish my goals and I have
also learned how to be responsible for myself.
My biggest goal is to be successful in life
and get a scholarship to OSU for wrestling. If
and when I do get a scholarship, I will red-shirt
my freshman year at college. My life in Ponca
revolves around the wrestlers (my |
brothers)
and the trainers (my sisters). I think Coach Walker is the best coach and friend a person
can have. He's helped me out with problems
outside of the wrestling room. He's one of the
only father figures I've ever had in the sixteen
years I've lived on this crazy thing called
Earth. But he said that no matter where I go
or what I do, he would still support me one
hundred percent even if I don't wrestle. But I
will succeed, I will accomplish my goals, and I
will be a champion.

| Outstanding Employee... |
Our employees have come
together to vote for employee of the
quarter, and they have chosen to honor
Jamie Phillips. Jamie is our Clinical
Supervisor, but also works in HR. She
has worked for the American Legion
Children's Home for 10 1/2 years. She
has a Masters of Science in Counseling
and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
She has been married to her husband,
Alan, for 16 years.
|
She has two children - Taylor, who is 8, and Teagan, who is 2 1/2. Jamie says her favorite part
about working here is the variety of
work she gets to do. She gets to work
with both the staff and the children
through her many HR and counseling
duties.
We are very lucky to have Jamie
on our staff.
Congratulations, Jamie Phillips!

We appreciate our outstanding employee!

United State Census 2010... Stand up and be COUNTED! |
Please take the time to fill out the US Census this year. Remind those you see that companies use Census data
when considering what communities to bring their business to. Fill out the questionnaire and mail it back.
This is the shortest Census form in history: 10 questions that should take about 10 minutes to answer. Accurate
census data guides funding decision for your community and affects your representation in Congress, but
not until every person in your county and state fills out the form and mails it back in. If you have not received
a census form by April 1, please pick one up at your local city office, library or community gathering place.
